The Power of Tiny Gains

The Power of Tiny Gains

Every day you get better or you get worse, but the compounding effect between the two isn’t equal. If all you focused on was getting 1% better every day for a year, you’re going 37x better than you were when you started.

The thing is, once you start taking action to focus on that 1% improvement, every day it gets easier to do so. Because the brain works to turn every repeated action into a habit. So the more action you take to get those tiny gains, the more momentum you’ll build.

It’s so easy to overlook small improvements on a daily basis. Massive success doesn’t always come from massive action, which, lets be real is pretty hard when the motivation isn’t always there. Most of the time it just comes from being consistent and just showing up.

So don’t settle for where you’re at. Go for that workout, read that book, finish those designs, learn more about your craft, study people you admire. The people who find ways to succeed in life are the same ones who are committed to consistently getting better.

As the great Jim Rohn once said, “success is a few simple disciplines, practised every day; while failure. Is simply a few errors in judgement, repeated every day”. So what’s it going to be today? 1% or 1% worse?

Shout out to James Clear who put us onto this awesome concept. If you haven’t heard him check out his blog here.
